Punjabis Applaud As 16 New Occupations Are Added To Canada’s Immigration Policy
Experts predicted that the day after Canada unveiled its new policy, which will allow employees from 16 new occupations to enter the nation to fill a labor deficit, it will provide new opportunities for Punjabis, who are suffering from a high unemployment rate in India.
Nurse assistants, long-term care aides, hospital attendants, pest controllers, fumigators, repairers, heavy equipment operators, bus drivers, subway operators, pharmacy assistants, elementary and secondary school teacher assistants, transport truck drivers, etc. are among the new professions that the Canadian government has listed.
These new hires qualify for express entrance. Such professionals used to travel to the Middle East, but they can now choose Canada.
Thousands of instructors remain unemployed in Punjab despite meeting all eligibility requirements, and they are vying for permanent employment there.
The consultant said that several Punjabis who have made their homes there and obtained Canadian citizenship is also sponsoring their family members so that they can be reunited, adding that we are also directing them in accordance with the rules.
According to Hardeep Singh, a different consultant based in Jalandhar, Punjabis are hard workers, and Canada needs a hardworking workforce.
