“Manaskailasher Pathe ”an excellent book of Abode
“মানসকৈলাসেরপথে” (On the Path of Manaskailas )book of Indrani Gupta has been launched on 6th December 2022 at Oxford Book Store, 17 Park Street, Kolkata.The book was released by famous dramatist Sri Debshankar Haldar.
Many eminent citizens of Kolkata like Past District Governor of Rotary, educationist Dr. Gautam Chattopadhyay, Dr. Ansuwa Chattopadhyay, writer and book critic Sumedha Chattopadhyay and many other famous and decorus personnel were present to grace the event.
The writer Indrani Gupta has narrated her journey in Kailash Yatra, the abode of Mahadev where she had to cross one of the highest mountain passes in the world 18600 ft high “Dolma La” crossing all odds behind.
This excellent book features a vivid depiction of Nepal’s Manasarovar and Mount Kailash treks. The description of circumambulation of Mount Kailash on foot through the 18600 feet height of one of the highest passes in the world, is vividly depicted in the book. Apart from the geographical and natural description, the book also contains stories about the history of Tibetan Characters, their people’s life, Tibetan gurus and various Buddhist monasteries in the Manas-Kailas region where Hinduism, Jainism, Buddhism is like a thread of humanism . The Indus, Brahmaputra, Karnali and Shatdrund rivers originate in the Kailash, Manasarovar region and flow through India-Pakistan-Bangladesh was well articulated. Its impact on human life and economy has been discussed by the author. Mahadev’s temple standing in front of Mount Kailash , the author expresses her feelings of an ordinary person in touching words.. The book is full of beautiful photographs which depict the unique creation about Kailash through the author’s own point of view.
Indrani Gupta – a Management Accountant by profession, has worked in Peerless for many years. Both her knees have been replaced, but that has not stopped her passion and zeal to complete her journey of the dangerous mountain paths. She has trekked alone in the mountains all her life. A traveler while returning to Kailash, Manas-Kailas, has taken some extraordinary pictures and narrated stories about the journey.
