New Delhi, June30, 2023: MsVartika Shukla, C&MD, EIL was donned with the Business Leader of the Year Award at the Donwards Downstream India Awards at the Global Refining and Petrochemicals Congress 2023 in New Delhi. This award is conferred in recognition of C&MDs extensive contributions in the evolution and development of the hydrocarbons sector.
Ms. Shukla having started her career as a Management Trainee at EIL in1988, rose through the ranks to become C&MD in September 2021. During her illustrious career spanning over 3.5 decades, she has made immense contributions to the development of National Policies especially in the area of Auto Fuel vision & policy, National BioFuel Policy and future road map for the refining and petrochemical sector. Under her leadership, EIL has also advanced in the application of data driven analytical approach for improving the overall quality of the deliverables across the company.
Ms.Vartika Shuklahas extensive technical and consulting experience across the hydrocarbon value chain and led the company to the successful completion of many prestigious projects including many key Refineries & Petrochemical complexes, Fertilizer plants both in India and overseas. She has been closely associated with developing in-house competencies and strategizing for new business opportunities both in the core hydrocarbon sector and in new and emerging sectors. She is an active member of various Industry forums like FIPI, CII, FICCI etc. and holds 9 live patents and 21 patent pending for grant. She also consistently suggests strategies and ground breaking technical solutions for the development and growth of the Oil & Gas industry.
