Kolkata :Governments should spend more on quality basic education at school as well as level to develop manpower for MSMEs said by Prof. Ankur Sarin of Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA) who is a Public Policy expert at the IIMA.
Quality Human Resources are key to script success stories in all types of industries in MSME sector in India and to propel MSME sector lead India’s growth and development in time ahead i.e.” in Amrit kaal”.
Most of the industries in MSME sector do not have financial power and resources of large companies who train their manpower or human resources in their company owned specialised institutions as in practice for large industries.
Professor Ankur Sarin was delivering late Paresh Rajda Memorial Lecture on 11th death anniversary of Paresh Rajda at iconic The Bengal Club in Kolkata on 8th July 2023.
Late Paresh Rajda was founder of Rajda group of Kolkata which is involved in business of chemical to leather products & more .
Ankur Sarin said ” As the ASER report has repeatedly pointed out, the school system fails over 50 % of children in rural India. This represents an inability to translate our economic growth to better social outcomes for a large population of India and also constraints our ability to sustainably develop. The implications of this are particularly true for smaller organizations especially in MSME sector, who do not have the ability to do in-house training etc that big corporations are able to absorb.”
Shri Gautam Rajda son of Late Paresh Rajda spoke on the group’s growth journey and its multifarious projects.
Shri Narendra Kapadia Business partner and close friend of Rajda family and current Chairperson of the group anchored the program.
A book promoting holistic management approach titled ” IN SEARCH OF AN IDEAL MSME” written by Prof . Sharad Sarin and internationally recognized management expert and management educator who taught in XLRI Jamshedpur and Technocrat G M Kapur who is a Engineer & Management specialist and State Convenor of INTACH West Bengal. Shri G M Kapur was recently conferred with the prestigious ” Distinguished Alumnus Award ” by IIMC Calcutta. Shri G M Kapur was Chief Guest at Commemorative function of 56th Batch of IIMC Calcutta recently.
The Paresh Rajda Memorial Lecture was attended by Smt. Aarti Rajda , Shri Narendra Kapadia , Shri Gautam Rajda ,Shri Madan Mohanka ,Chairman of Tega Industries an Indian MNC having international business presence in 18 + countries and employing large no.of international employees, large no.of industrialists from different industries , friends and Business partners of Shri Paresh Rajda as well as Rajda group .
Shri Paresh Rajda was pioneer in development of business model what is now called ” Serial Venture Capitalist”. Paresh Rajda was partner-cum -mentor of large no.of marketing companies across India. During his life time Paresh Rajda set up around 10 to 12 Small and Medium Business organisations.
Paresh Rajda ‘s mission was ” Multiply Entrepreneurship By Encouraging Youngsters with Limited Resources and No Business Family Background “
Beside multiplying business , Paresh Rajda was very active social worker and philanthropist.
