BOBBY CHAKRABORTY WINS YOUNG HEARTS AND MINDS IN RURAL BENGAL WITH HIS ANTI ADDICTION CAMPAIGN NO. 401

It was a rainy afternoon on 21st July, at IIMC Sikshangan Ushapara, a rural school in Bhojerhat, 24 Parganas (South), when Bobby Chakraborty won the hearts and minds of all his ‘soldiers’ there, through his award winning, global, free of cost awareness program for the youth against addiction of all sorts and harmful social trends.

Bobby as we know is an Actor,Activist and a Teacher of Method Acting who reaches out to the children globally to sensitize them against evils which are destroying their physical and mental health, for more than a decade.

He started this mission of charity due to the loss of life in his own family out of addiction, which extremely disturbed his growing up years. He associated with IIMC(Institute for Indian Mother and Child) Sonarpur, along with its founder Director duo Dr.Sujit Kr. Brahmochary and Mrs.Barnali Brahmochary to start with his 1st session there, in 2012. Here he was with his 401st session yet again in a school of IIMC.

The Teacher-in-Charge Mr. Amar Kr. Naskar, along with other teachers like Prasenjit Sir, Mintu Sir and Mr. Prabir Kr. Karmakar organised this powerful session perfectly, with refreshments for the children after the session.

Students of 7th to 10th grade assembled to hear out this much acclaimed awareness ‘adda’, from their favourite ‘Bobbydada’. They understood the importance of their physical and mental health which is directly linked with their career and family through the formula of life which is ‘HCF’. They learnt the easy but effective way to learn to control their minds through the mantra ‘I AM THE KING OF MY MIND’. They promised to behave appropriately online. They were made aware of the perils of the internet and interacting with strangers online.

All of this happened through the trademark wit and humour of Bobby, which kept the children engaged and entertained them for over 2 hours, instead of only preaching.

The official photographer was Shrabanti Sardar from Class 9,assisted by Piu from Class 7,who also won the ceremonial title of ‘the 1st soldier’. The title of ‘the trendsetter’ went to Misty.

The winners of the surprise contest at the end were Soumyadip,Sipra and Disha , who along with Shrabanti were awarded special HCF t-shirts , prizes and community service certificates by their Bobbydada.

There were hugs, tears and euphoria among the children,as Bobby took selfies with them before he left the school campus, promising to return soon.
