BOBBY CHAKRABORTY RECRUITS STRONG SOLDIERS FROM DELHI PUBLIC SCHOOL, DURGAPUR, THROUGH AAC 408
It was actor/activist/teacher of method acting, Bobby Chakraborty’s 408th Anti Addiction Campaign (AAC)…his award winning, globally acclaimed, free of cost awareness program for the youth against all sorts of addiction and harmful social trends, at Delhi Public School, Durgapur, on 25th September. It was Bobby’s 3rd session in this reputed school of South Bengal.
Bobby appreciated the socially responsible Principal, Umesh Chand Jaiswal,a perfect gentleman, along with the dynamic and gracious, Head of Administration, Priya Daga and the DPS Society, for finding this awareness program so important for their students, over the years, when most of the institutions are either in the denial mode of these vices existing in the lives of the children or they are extremely laid back towards taking any initiative towards the cause.
The official photographer of this sparkling and interactive session was Pratham Choudhary, an extremely hardworking and dedicated soldier from Class 9.
The ‘adda’ as Bobby calls it, was attended by eager soldiers of classes 6-12,which was given a powerful start by Priya Daga. Then the adda saw their ‘Bobbydada’ winning his soldiers’ hearts and opening their eyes against all sorts of substance abuse, starting with smoking and alcoholism, which generally have their roots from their families, relating the tragic story of his own family.Bobby educated them towards respecting everyone, starting from their peers, schoolmates and friends to eradicate the menace of bullying and ragging tendencies in a young mind. Bobby awakened them towards presenting themselves safely and appropriately online on social networking sites…without…obscenity, vulgarity, abusive language and online gambling through games. Bobby also gave them the important formula to follow their whole life as H(Health) -C(Career) -F(Family), along with the mantra of a soldier as…‘I AM THE KING OF MY MIND’, which also happens to be the title of this popular program.
The prestigious titles of ‘The 1st Soldier’ went to Anisur from class 6 and ‘The Trendsetter’ went to soldier Banibrata from class 6 too.
The surprise contest at the end had soldiers Samrath, Raima and Manidipa as the winners, who along with Pratham were given special prizes,HCF tshirts and Community Service Certificates by their Bobbydada.
The memorable session ended with a heart touching vote of thanks by soldier Chiradeep , after which the soldiers thronged around their favourite Bobbydada for selfies, autographs, not forgetting our rich Indian culture of touching the feet of our elders, which was initiated by soldier Basabdatta.
