Sanyasis of various Hindu Sects called for declaring “Bhagwat Gita” as “National Book of India” from Brigrade Parade Ground Kolkata

Sanyasis of various Hindu Sects from across West Bengal as well as neighbouring states of Bihar , Jharkhand , Odisha as well as spiritual leaders of various spiritual as well as socio-cultural organisations called for declaring “Bhagwat Gita” as “National Book of India” from Brigrade Parade Ground Kolkata on 24th December 2023 during the “Lokko Konte Gita Path ” program.
As President of the organising committee Swami Pradiptananda, who is also Secretary of Bharat Sevashram Sangha Murshidabad & Trustee of Bharat Sevashram Sangha said during his address that nearly one lac and thirty seven thousand people participated
& chantted Slokas from Bhagwat Gita together..
The Gita path program saw presence & participation in chanting of Bhagwat Gita by people of different faith including Buddhism , Christianity , Jainism , Islam, Sikhism, zoroastrianism & others demonstrating mass appeal and popularity of Bhagawat Gita .
People from diverse socio-cultural-economic-political background participated in Gita path together. Such participation reflected popularity of Bhagawat Gita .
The Lokko Konte Gita Path program facililated demonstration of Hindu Cultural unity in diversity as well as reviving of Hindu Cultural consciousness amongst youths as well as other generations.
The program created three official World Records.1) largest no.of people chanting Bhagwat Gita together ; 2) largest no.of people blowing Shank together 3) largest no.people singing Nazrulgeeti together
Speaking to Partha Roy Senior Journalist Shri Shishir Bajoria noted industrialist and vice-chairman Europe -India Business Council promoting multi-dimensional relationship between European Union and India on economic, Trade, political, climate and social fronts , said he wholeheartedly supports demand of Sanyasis that Bhagawat Gita should be given officials status of ” National Book of India “. Shri Bajoria further added Bhagwat Gita calls upon all human beings to do their duty.
Dr. Madhuchanda Kar an oncologist & Director of one of the top hospital in Kolkata who participated in World Record making Gita path said reading of Bhagavat Gita inspires to manage complex challenges in every day life.
