Kolkata based tax advocateNarayan Jain has been elected National President of All India Federation of Tax Practitioners (AIFTP) for 2024 in National Convention presided over by Adv. Pankaj Ghiya. Justice Rajesh Bindal, Judge of the Supreme Court of India administered oath of Office to Jain and appreciated the functioning of AIFTP and training of tax practitioners to update their knowledge so that they can represent the matters well. Justice Moushumi Bhattacharya of Calcutta High Court conveyed her good wishes for the success of Convention. Jain reiterated focus on programmes for inculcating Ethics, spreading Education and ensuring excellence in profession of members of AIFTP. Awards were also given for 2023. Appointments made were Adv. RD Kakra, National Secretary General; Adv. Samir Jani- Deputy President and CA Anil Mathur as Treasurer. Justice R.V. Easwar former Judge, PC Joshi, Premlata Bansal, Ganesh Purohit & M Srinivasa Rao chaired sessions. Speakers included CA Dr. Debasish Mitra (on Artificial Intelligence), Debayan Patra, Sumit Nema, Jinesh Vanzara, CA S. Venkataramani, Mukul Gupta, Sanjeev Anwar, Adv. Aditya Ajgkaonkar, G Baskar. BL Mittal, Hitesh Das (Axis MF), Dr. Srikant Bawsay, Madan Maroti, Abhay Desai and Mahendra Gargieya. Mamta Binani, Rajesh Mishra and Anshu Sethia nicely anchored.
