BOBBY CHAKRABORTY’S GLOBAL YOUTH AWARENESS PROGRAM,RECOGNISED BY SREI & KANORIA FOUNDATION ALONG WITH W.B.FEDERATION OF UNITED NATIONS ASSOCIATION
Bobby Chakraborty is an actor and teacher of method actIng by profession since 2002 . He has been a prolific and popular social activist too,fighting against the social evils of addiction of all sorts and harmful social trends,among children, globally,for more than a decade, free of cost. Till now his preventive awareness program named ‘I AM THE KING OF MY MIND’ has reached out to thousands of children in more than 410 schools, colleges, universities, red light areas and orphanages, with a thundering response, which has won him multiple awards and recognitions from all over.
On May 29th his noble service towards the humanity was recognized yet again by SREI Foundation and Kanoria Foundation in association with West Bengal Federation of United Nations Association(WEBFUNA), through the hands of Mr.Sitaram Sharma (Chairman of WEBFUNA).
It was an august gathering at the ICCR auditorium, Kolkata, with the initiative of West Bengal Federation of United Nations Association in collaboration with Acid Survivors and Women Welfare Foundation to launch the campaign “SILENCE WILL NOT PROTECT WOMEN”,which had several acid attack survivors and dignitaries from all walks of life present.
Bobby ended this extremely purposeful and pertinent campaign launch event, dedicating two melodious songs to the 4 acid attack survivors present. One being ‘Ruk Jana Nahin Tu Kahin Harke’ and another,under the popular demand of the audience,‘Tomay Hrid Majhare Rakhbo’.
