The film, directed by Amar Kaushik, has achieved remarkable success, amassing over ₹200 crore in just five days. To celebrate this impressive feat and the numerous records shattered by the movie, the cast and crew gathered for a lively celebration. The party was further enhanced by the presence of Kriti Sanon and Vicky Kaushal from Bhediya.

Notably, Stree 2 achieved the highest opening weekend of the year, outshining both Fighter and Kalki 2898 AD with its extended weekend earnings.
The film’s success is attributed to several factors, including the strong anticipation built from its predecessor and the advantage of clubbed holidays. Stree 2 benefited from the Independence Day and Raksha Bandhan holidays, which significantly boosted its earnings. On Independence Day, the film raked in ₹51.8 crore, while Raksha Bandhan contributed ₹37 crore to its total. The film saw the highest occupancies in major cities like Delhi-NCR, Lucknow, Bhopal, Ahmedabad, and Jaipur.
Stree 2 is the sequel to the 2018 hit Stree, which itself had a successful run, accumulating a lifetime box office total of ₹129.90 crore. The sequel brought back key cast members from the original, including Rajkummar Rao, Shraddha Kapoor, Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Banerjee, and Aparshakti Khurana. It also introduced new faces through cameo roles, adding fresh elements to the storyline.
