When actor Ananya Panday received an offer from director Vikramaditya Motwane to feature in his upcoming feature film, “CTRL,” she admits she was shocked.
Her first film with Motwane, who is renowned for helming highly praised films including “Udaan,” “Lootera,” and “Trapped,” is a cyber-thriller.
Panday stated that she has been an admirer of Motwane’s cinematic endeavors since his 2010 feature debut, “Udaan”.
Featuring Vihaan Samat as well, “CTRL” is hailed as a cutting-edge thriller that would make viewers reevaluate how dependent they are on technology.
“But what happens when they break up? In a world where data is power, how much sharing is too much? How much of your life are you willing to share, and do you slowly lose control in the process?” read the official synopsis.
“It was a different experience for everyone, given the kind of film it is. You will see more of it when it starts coming out. But he as a person is just wonderful, he is one of those directors who are in the moment. But the more time I spent away from him, I realised how much I learned from him. He is outstanding,” she added.
When Panday collaborated with Motwane on “CTRL,” she described the experience as “wonderful and different.”
Panday is presently available to view on Prime Video as part of the debut series “Call Me Bae”. Colin D’Cunha is the director, and Ishita Moitra, Samina Motlekar, and Rohit Nair wrote the comedy-drama series.
