Vedang Raina, co-star Alia Bhatt, co-producer Karan Johar, and director Vasan Bala promoted their movie Jigra in the premiere episode of The Great Indian Kapil Show Season 2. During the show, Kapil Sharma teased Vedang, who was rumored to be dating his co-star Khushi Kapoor from The Archies, in jest.
Kapil asked Vedang, “Khushi hai ki aap Jigra mein Alia ke bhai ka role kar rahi hai?” during a lighthearted moment. (Are you “happy” that Jigra has you portraying Alia’s brother?) With a swift reply, Karan said, “Khushi hai!” (He is happy!) which made the audience laugh. Still not satisfied, Kapil said, “Sabse jyaada ‘Khushi’ aapko kaha milte hai?” (In which location do you feel the happiest?)
Earlier in an interview with Filmfare, Vedang reflected on his experience working with the Highway star, saying, “We have different approaches when it comes to acting, and I have learned so much from her. I was just in awe of how she approached things with so much conviction. When I shot my first scene with her, I instantly realized why she is where she is. Even when I wasn’t shooting, I would go on set and watch what she was doing.” Jigra is set to release in theatres on October 11.
