The state is expected to get rain through October 9 in most places, with isolated showers continuing until October 13 in some locations, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD). The weather service states that from October 6 to 9, there is a chance of light to moderate rain and thundershowers in numerous locations across all districts.Furthermore, there is a chance of light rain or thundershowers in a few locations across all districts from October 10–13.
From Sunday to Wednesday, eight districts in north Bengal are expected to see light to moderate rain, gusty gusts, and thunderstorms.While Cooch Behar, Alipurduar, and Dakshin Dinajpur are expected to see rain and thunderstorms on Saturday, Darjeeling, Kalimpong, Jalpaiguri, Cooch Behar, and Alipurduar are expected to see the similar weather on Monday.
According to the IMD, strong rains in the hill districts of Darjeeling and Kalimpong may also cause landslides.
In the meantime, the rain in Kolkata should lessen starting on Saturday, though it won’t entirely cease. The IMD predicts gloomy skies throughout the city through Wednesday, with a few moments of rain expected in certain places on Sunday.The weather in Kolkata later this week, particularly during the Durga Puja season, is probably going to stay the same until October 13.
