At the UK premiere of her movie Sister Midnight, actress Radhika Apte surprised her fans by disclosing she was pregnant. Benedict Taylor, a British composer, is the spouse of the actor, who primarily works in the United Kingdom. On the red carpet at the 2024 BFI London Film Festival, Apte showed off her growing baby belly.
The actor shared photos from the gala premiere on Instagram. She wore an off-the-shoulder black dress. Her colleagues in the industry, including Vijay Varma, Guneet Monga, and Priyanka Bose, showered her post’s comments section with congratulations as soon as she shared the pictures. As Guneet dropped hearts, Varma commented, “Apteeeee.”
In 2011, while studying contemporary dance in the UK, Apte met Benedict Taylor. The singer married the actress in 2012, and the actress has always been quite private. Three years later, she made her big break as the lead in Varun Dhawan’s Badlapur, directed by Sriram Raghavan. With films like Parched, Pad Man, Lust Stories, and Andhadhun, she received even more praise.
Her most recent big-screen appearance was in the Hrithik Roshan film Vikram Vedha. She also starred in two streaming series: Mrs. Undercover on ZEE5 and Monica, O My Darling, starring Vasan Bala.
Sister Midnight, a “genre-bending comedy” directed by Karan Kandhari, involves a “frustrated and misanthropic newlywed who discovers certain feral impulses that land her in unlikely situations.”
