According to sources, King Charles of Britain stayed in a large integrative medical facility in Bengaluru during his private visit on Wednesday. Queen Camilla accompanied him. According to an administrator, the holistic health center where the couple spent their three-day excursion is renowned for its restorative therapies and yoga and meditation sessions.
“The couple who have stayed in the medical facility on a couple of occasions in the past took various wellness treatments, including Ayurveda and Naturopathy. Their morning routine included yoga sessions. “They were on a special diet as part of the various wellness treatment they underwent here. They underwent rejuvenative treatment, which also included meditation and therapies,” the official said. “They also enjoyed long walks around the 30-acre campus and going to organic farm,” he said.
“They were at the facility for three days and left the city this morning,” he added.
The ‘SOUKYA’, International Holistic Centre in Samethanahalli, close to Whitefield, is not the King’s first visit. In 2019, he came here to commemorate his 71st birthday. Dr. Isaac Mathai, one of the few Indians chosen to attend his coronation as King of the United Kingdom, is in charge of it.
Over the years, Charles has been an outspoken advocate of Ayurveda. During his April 2018 visit to the UK, he joined Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Science Museum in London to open a new Ayurvedic Centre of Excellence, which aims to establish a first-of-its-kind worldwide network for evidence-based research on Ayurveda and yoga.
