The program commenced with a warm welcome and refreshments, followed by the formation of a presidium chaired by Vice President Dr. Nilay Laskar in the absence of the President, Shri Prithwish Chakraborty. The cultural segment featured enchanting renditions of Sylheti songs by professional artists, complemented by lively music and dance presentations. The traditional lunch provided was both sumptuous and reflective of the community’s culinary heritage.
In the afternoon, a prize distribution ceremony, generously sponsored by CHITKARA UNIVERSITY through its Director, Shri Amlan Purkayastha, recognized the achievements of participants in various categories. The day concluded with the vibrant Dhamail Dance, where approximately 275 attendees participated enthusiastically, accompanied by live music and traditional songs.
