7-foot-tall ‘muscular baba’ from Russia abandoned teaching to embrace life as a sadhu at Mahakumbh.

Pilgrims from across the globe are attending Mahakumbh Mela 2025, taking place in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. The largest assembly on the planet is participated in by Indians, international devotees, dignitaries, and sadhus. Included in the group is the “muscular baba” from Russia, who has drawn attention for his prominently toned body. Clad in plain saffron attire, with a large jhola beside him and a rudraksha mala hanging around his neck, the sadhu was seen attending the spiritual event. Multiple social media users circulated his videos and photos, causing them to go viral.

His birth anniversary, Parshuram Jayanti, is observed on the Tritiya Tithi of the Shukla Paksha during the month of Vaishakha, typically occurring in May. As per Moneycontrol Hindi, the baba, known as the “Muscular Baba,” is a seven-foot-tall grappler. He discovered Hinduism nearly thirty years ago and has embraced the faith ever since.

Although he hails from Russia, he presently resides in Nepal. Abandoning his teaching profession, he dedicated his life to advocating for Hinduism. He was a previous disciple of Pilot Baba and is affiliated with the Juna Akhada. The Mahakumbh Mela 2025 commenced on January 13 and will extend until February 26. Devotees come to this assembly for spiritual cleansing by submerging themselves at the Sangam, the holy junction of the Ganga, Yamuna, and the legendary Saraswati.
