Ashwini Vaishnaw announces  the introduction of Namo Bharat trains in West Bengal.

Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw emphasized that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has launched a significant initiative to enhance and modernize railway services in West Bengal. The government has designated a significant Rs 13,955 crores for this objective. Overall, the railways in West Bengal are witnessing an investment of around Rs 68,000 crores, which encompasses plans to launch Namo Bharat trains in the state.

Vaishnaw additionally urged the Chief Minister of West Bengal to aid in land acquisition and tackle law and order concerns to guarantee the effective execution of these projects for the advantage of the populace. He stressed that obtaining land is a key element for the advancement of railway infrastructure.

“The PM has taken up a big mission to modernise and expand railway facilities in West Bengal. For this, an amount of Rs 13,955 crores has been allocated. In Bengal, Railways has an investment of massive Rs 68,000 crores. To use these resources, I request West Bengal CM to help us with land acquisition and also regarding law and order to benefit the people. For the development of Railways, land acquisition is very important. 101 railway stations in West Bengal will be re-developed under as ‘Amrit’ stations,” Vaishnaw said.

Vaishnaw additionally stated that 101 railway stations in West Bengal will be redeveloped under the “Amrit” station project. Additionally, he noted that at present, nine Vande Bharat trains are running in the state, and the initial Amrit Bharat train, which started its route from Malda last year, is included in this continuous initiative.
