BSP leader Mayawati announced on Sunday the removal of her nephew Akash Anand from all positions within the party and declared that there will be no successor to her leadership until her passing.

During a high-level meeting with party officials from across the nation aimed at reinforcing the party’s structure, she revealed important changes in the leadership framework.

Mayawati appointed her brother Anand Kumar and Ramji Gautam as national coordinators to manage party activities throughout the country.

The former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh emphasized that she would not designate a successor while she is alive, asserting that the party and its mission take precedence over personal relationships.

Previously, Mayawati had dismissed Anand last year, only to later reinstate him and name him as her political heir.

Last month, she expelled Ashok Siddharth, Akash Anand’s father-in-law, from the party due to allegations of factionalism and anti-party conduct.

Siddharth, a former Rajya Sabha member, was expelled alongside Nitin Singh, the Meerut district in-charge of the BSP, who was responsible for overseeing party operations in the southern regions.
