Thailand – India multi – dimensional relationship is expanding and moving to new high with several welcome move by Thailand in recent years.
Thailand and India have historical cultural relationship of over thousands of years sharing common heritage far beyond Buddhism.
“Namaste Thailand Festival 2025″ organised by Embassy of Thailand in New Delhi , Royal Thai Consulate General in Kolkata showcasing the majestic and timeless art of Khon, a UNESCO-recognized Intangible Cultural Heritage of Thailand in New Delhi on 7th February and in Kolkata on 10th February 2025 are important landmarks in strengthening Thailand – India Relationship.
The Khon Performance presenting episodes from Ramayana of Thailand displayed shared cultural heritage of both nations. Thai Performers touched the heart of the audiences in both cities.
The Episode of “HANUMAN- The Mighty Warrior” presented at majestic Victoria Memorial Hall in Kolkata enthralled the Kolkata audience composed of people from different eastern states of India.
