Six dead, several injured after landslide in Himachal Pradesh’s Kullu

Three women were part of the six individuals who lost their lives following a landslide close to the PWD road across from Gurdwara Manikaran Sahib in Himachal Pradesh’s Kullu on Sunday evening. A number of others sustained injuries in the event.
The landslide happened around 5 pm when individuals sitting by the roadside were hit by a large tree that fell down with the rubble. The wounded individuals have been taken to Jari Hospital for additional medical care. Based on the details, a street vendor, a car driver, and three tourists who were at the scene are among the deceased.
The Additional District Magistrate of Kullu, Ashwani Kumar, reported that six individuals have died in the accident, with numerous others injured.
A police team under the leadership of SHO Manikaran is on-site, managing rescue and relief efforts. The revenue agency is present at the location, evaluating the circumstances and providing support for emergency actions.
A crew from the fire department in Jari is also en route to the accident location. Authorities have not yet determined the identities of the deceased. Additional information is expected.
