The Ministry of Cooperation has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Swiggy Instamart to help market cooperative products, including dairy and other items, through the e-commerce platform. As part of the agreement, products from Bharat Organics and various cooperative dairy brands will be available on Swiggy’s platforms for delivery.

The MoU was signed by Amitesh Jha, CEO of Swiggy Instamart, and D K Verma, Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Cooperation, with Cooperation Secretary Ashish Kumar Bhutani in attendance. Swiggy plans to create a special “Cooperative” category on its platform to feature a range of products, including organic goods, dairy, millets, and handicrafts from cooperative organizations.

This collaboration aims to assist cooperative brands in areas like marketing, promotion, and capacity building. The partnership also ties into the United Nations’ declaration of 2025 as the International Year of Cooperation, with plans for a nationwide campaign to raise awareness about cooperative movements.
