Apple to Launch AI-Powered Smart Glasses with VisionOS, Health and Multimedia Features

Apple is reportedly developing AI-enabled smart glasses designed to offer a lightweight, everyday wearable experience, marking the company’s next step in merging technology with daily life. According to Bloomberg reports, the glasses are expected to run on visionOS, the operating system that powers Apple’s Vision Pro headset, and will include features such as photo and video capture, music playback, voice assistance, and basic health tracking.

Unlike the Vision Pro, which faced adoption challenges due to its size and premium price, Apple’s smart glasses are being designed to be stylish and compact, making them suitable for routine use. The device is expected to operate in dual modes: a full version of visionOS when paired with a Mac, and a lighter, mobile-friendly interface when connected to an iPhone. This versatility is intended to allow users to seamlessly switch between work-related tasks and personal activities.
