News Mania Desk /Piyal Chatterjee/5th December 2025

On December 5, Cloudflare confirmed that ongoing maintenance work caused widespread disruptions across several websites and online platforms worldwide. The company stated that the maintenance began at 09:00 UTC and immediately affected multiple services, particularly Cloudflare “Workers” scripts, leading to connectivity and access issues for numerous users.
By 09:12 UTC, Cloudflare reported that fixes had been applied, and teams were monitoring the network to ensure stability. However, some residual errors persisted, affecting users in the United States, India, and other regions. Outage-tracking platforms recorded thousands of complaints, highlighting the global impact of the disruption.
Several major services relying on Cloudflare infrastructure were affected, including financial trading platforms such as Zerodha and Groww. Users reported difficulties accessing live markets, dashboards, and executing trades. Other apps and websites also experienced temporary inaccessibility during the maintenance period.
Cloudflare described the incident as an “internal service degradation” and emphasized that the maintenance was pre-scheduled. The company advised users to follow its official status page for real-time updates as services gradually resumed.
This outage underscores the growing reliance on a few key web infrastructure providers and the potential ripple effects of even short-lived disruptions. While services are now largely restored, the incident highlights the importance of contingency planning for businesses and users dependent on critical online platforms.
