Budget Session of Parliament: Hon’ble Prime Minister Briefs the Media

The Budget Session of Parliament commenced with a focus on economic growth, governance reforms, and national priorities. Ahead of the proceedings, Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi addressed the media, outlining the significance of the session and the government’s expectations from Parliament.

The Prime Minister described the Budget Session as a crucial opportunity to strengthen India’s economic foundations and accelerate inclusive development. He emphasized that the Union Budget would reflect the aspirations of citizens, especially the poor, middle class, youth, farmers, and women, while ensuring fiscal discipline and long-term growth. Stressing the need for constructive debate, he urged Members of Parliament to contribute positively and allow smooth functioning of both Houses.

Highlighting India’s progress amid global uncertainties, the Prime Minister noted that the session would focus on reforms aimed at boosting investment, innovation, and self-reliance. He reiterated the government’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and cooperative federalism, stating that Parliament plays a vital role in shaping policies for a developed India.

Calling for consensus and meaningful discussion, the Prime Minister appealed to all political parties to rise above partisan interests in the national interest. He expressed confidence that the Budget Session would deliver outcomes that strengthen India’s economy and reinforce public trust in democratic institutions.
