Kolkata: The Birla Industrial and Technological Museum (BITM) has announced a grand celebration of National Science Day, promising a vibrant and inclusive experience for students, educators, and the general public.
This year’s event is being organised in collaboration with CSIR-Jigyasa, a flagship outreach programme of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) aimed at fostering scientific curiosity among young minds.
The day-long programme will feature an engaging mix of interactive science shows, expert lectures, guided and inclusive gallery tours, and astronomical observation sessions. Designed to nurture scientific temper and critical thinking, the celebration seeks to make science accessible and exciting for all age groups.
Highlighting the significance of the collaboration, Shri Arnab Chatterjee, Director of BITM, said, “Science is about making the unknown accessible to everyone. This National Science Day, our collaboration with CSIR-Jigyasa allows us to offer a truly dynamic, hands-on experience for our visitors. We are especially proud of our inclusive initiatives this year.”
The initiative reflects BITM’s continued commitment to promoting science education and community engagement, reinforcing the spirit of inquiry and innovation that National Science Day stands for.
