Central Inland Fisheries Research Institute Barrackpore celebrates their 80th Foundation Day

Central Inland Fisheries Research Institute Barrackpore celebrated 80th Foundation Day today commemorating the overall achievements in enhancing Inland Fish Production, disseminating scaled-up technologies with upscaled knowledge in inland fisheries sector aiming at Viksit Bharat 2047.

Dr P. K. Ghosh, VC, Viswa Bharati graced the Chief guest of the foundation day celebration. He highlighted the role palyed by ICAR-CIFRI in inland fisheries.

The Guests of Honour on the Foundation Day were Dr. T. K. Dutta, VC, West Bengal university of Animal and Fisheries sciences, Dr A. K. Patra, VC, Bidhan Chandra Krishi Viswavidyalaya, Dr. Gaurang kar, Director, ICAR-CRIJAF, Dr. D.B. Shakyawar, Director, ICAR-NINFET.

Dr Pradip Dey, Director in his address highlighted the key achievements of the Institute . he highlighted the 80-year contribution of the institute in significant increase in the total fish production in the country.
