At home, no gas? No issue. In just thirty minutes, this stove can prepare meals for twenty-five people. It is called the Vishwaguru Chulha and is made to boil, cook, and bake simultaneously.
You can grill, sauté, or even make pizza as the dal cooks and the rotis bake above. It is practical and efficient because of its multifunctional design, which enables the preparation of multiple foods at once. This invention’s creator is not an engineer. Meet Sher Khan, an iron artisan from Udaipur who dropped out of Class 8.
After witnessing ladies spend hours in the hot kitchen preparing dal and baatis separately, he constructed this chulha 27 years ago. He started working on a solution because he was determined to find a better way.
He kept improving his idea over time, and in 2017 he was granted a patent for it. This stove’s efficiency as well as its utility are what make it unique. The Vishwaguru Chulha utilizes only 2 kg of wood, producing significantly less smoke than traditional stoves, which need about 10 kg.
The stove has been used in a variety of settings, including small businesses and dhabas. It is more than simply a culinary utensil; it is a useful invention that solves problems in daily life. With over 1,000 stoves in use today, this straightforward but efficient design may provide a solution to India’s fuel-related problems. Because high-tech labs don’t always produce the biggest solutions. They originate from the tiniest workshops.
