Massive Protests Against Dilip Ghosh in Kharagpur; Chaos Erupts in Purigate Area

Kharagpur : Widespread anger and protests have erupted against BJP leader Dilip Ghosh in the Purigate area of ​​Kharagpur. During his election campaign, a group of locals surrounded his car in protest. It is alleged that the protesters even attempted to vandalize the vehicle, creating a chaotic situation that resulted in a temporary blockade of the road. The locals vented their fury not only against Dilip Ghosh but also against the BJP workers and supporters accompanying him. Amidst this volatile situation, slogans of "Jai Bangla" and "Jai Shri Ram" were raised by both sides, further escalating the tension. The locals alleged that while the entire locality was gripped by panic over railway-related notices, no BJP leader or worker was to be found anywhere in the vicinity. They claim that Dilip Ghosh, too, was conspicuously absent during that critical time. Consequently, their anger intensified over his sudden appearance just ahead of the elections. This incident has triggered widespread tension in the Purigate area, falling under Ward No. 27 of the Kharagpur Municipality. Reports indicate that the administration had to take significant measures to bring the situation under control.
