News Mania Desk/ 22nd April 2026

The Indian Navy will host the Naval Civilian Function on April 23, 2026, at the Manekshaw Centre to recognise the vital contributions of its civilian workforce in strengthening operational preparedness. The event will be graced by Sanjay Seth as the Chief Guest.

The function will highlight key initiatives undertaken by Naval Headquarters and various commands to enhance administrative efficiency, digital transformation, and personnel welfare. Over the past year, reforms in human resource management have included streamlined promotion policies, improved transfer regulations, and timely implementation of MACP and NFU benefits. The introduction of the “Abhar Ceremony” to honour retiring personnel has also been a notable step.

Efforts to upgrade recruitment rules, expand training programmes, and promote welfare have been reinforced through collaborations with institutions and organisations like State Bank of India and Bajaj Allianz.

Digital advancements include the launch of NCMIS Version 2.0 (SAKSHAM), NavKalp training modules on the iGOT platform, and expanded access to systems like Defence Travel System and DigiLocker.

Outstanding Naval Civilians will be honoured during the event, which will also mark the inauguration of key digital initiatives and the biannual magazine “Udantika.”
