CEO Manoj Aggarwal Inspects Counting Centre After Fire Incident In Jhargram

Jhargram : West Bengal’s Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Manoj Aggarwal on Friday visited the counting centre at Rani Indira Devi Government Girls’ College in Jhargram to assess arrangements and security measures ahead of the counting process.

The visit came a day after a minor fire incident occurred at the venue during heavy storm and rain on Thursday. The incident was promptly brought under control, averting any major damage or disruption.
During his inspection, CEO Aggarwal conducted a detailed assessment of the preparedness at the counting centre. District Election Officer cum District Magistrate Akanksha Bhaskar, Superintendent of Police Manav Singla, along with election observers and other senior officials, were present during the visit. Candidates from various political parties also attended the inspection.

According to officials, no complaints were raised by any political party or candidate during the visit. The administration has assured that the counting process will be conducted in a fair, transparent, and secure manner.
With all arrangements in place and the fire incident successfully managed, authorities expressed confidence in proceeding with the counting process smoothly at the Jhargram centre.
