DG/CISF and DG/BSF Interact with Injured CISF Personnel and Commend His Bravery

Shri Praveer Ranjan, DG/CISF—accompanied by Shri Praveen Kumar, DG/BSF, and Shri Sudhir Kumar, ADG/North—visited the hospital to inquire about the well-being of CT/GD Yogesh of the CISF’s Special Security Group.
CT Yogesh sustained a gunshot wound while providing security cover to a ‘Y’ category protectee in West Bengal. Both DGs lauded his courage, dedication, and professional conduct while on duty, and wished him a speedy recovery.

The incident occurred when the residence of the protectee came under attack by assailants wielding country-made weapons. During the incident, while ensuring the safety of the protectee, CT Yogesh sustained a gunshot wound to his left calf.
For the CISF and CAPF, the motto is ‘Nation First’ (Rashtra Sarvopari); these forces serve as a protective shield for democracy and the ‘Elections 2026’ process.
