Alert RPF Women Personnel Save Passenger from Mishap at Midnapore Station

Kharagpur : In a commendable display of alertness and prompt action, two women RPF personnel of RPF/Post/Midnapore successfully saved the life of a passenger at Midnapore Railway Station on 09.05.2026.At about 14:20 hrs, when Train No. 38820 MDN–HWH Local was departing from Platform No. 01 of Midnapore Railway Station, one male passenger aged about 50 years attempted to board the moving train. During the attempt, the passenger lost his balance and was on the verge of getting dragged along with the moving train, which could have resulted in a serious mishap.Sensing the imminent danger, on-duty RPF staff LC S. Gorai and LC K. Kumari reacted swiftly and with utmost presence of mind. Both the women personnel immediately rushed towards the passenger and safely pushed him inside the coach, thereby preventing a potentially fatal accident and saving his life.The entire incident, including the courageous and timely action of the RPF staff, was captured in the CCTV cameras installed at the station.The Railway Protection Force once again appeals to passengers not to board or deboard moving trains, as such actions are extremely dangerous and may lead to serious accidents. Passengers are advised to prioritize safety and follow railway safety guidelines at all times.
