New West Bengal Cabinet Holds First Meeting, Focuses on Central Welfare Schemes

The newly formed West Bengal government led by Suvendu Adhikari held its first Cabinet meeting, attended by senior leaders including Dilip Ghosh, Agnimitra Paul, Nisith Pramanik,Ashok Kirtania and Kshudiram Tudu

During the meeting, discussions reportedly centered on the implementation of several Central Government schemes and policy decisions that the previous administration had allegedly not executed in the state. The Cabinet emphasized the need for speedy rollout of welfare initiatives aimed at benefiting citizens across West Bengal.

The meeting also reflected the new administration’s broader governance priorities, with a focus on coordination with the Centre, administrative restructuring, and accelerated delivery of public welfare programmes.
