Missing Teen Found After Three Years: Gopiballavpur Police Reunite Girl with Family

Jhargram : In a remarkable of dedication and effective, the Jhargram District Police have successfully located a young woman who had been missing for three years, reuniting her with her relieved family. This notable achievement was accomplished through the combined efforts of modern information technology, confidential intelligence, and diligent investigation by the Gopiballavpur Police.

According to police sources, the minor girl, originally from Barashol village under Gopiballavpur Police Station jurisdiction, went missing on February 1, 2023, at the age of 16. Despite an exhaustive search by her family, she could not be found, leading them to file a formal complaint on April 1, 2023. Acting swiftly, the police registered a case and commenced a thorough probe into her disappearance.

During the investigation, authorities traced the girl’s movements revealing that she had traveled to Karnataka where she met and subsequently married a young man from Bhamal village in the Beliyabera Police Station area of Jhargram district. Recently, the couple returned to the local area, information that came to light through a confidential tip-off.

On Tuesday, led by Officer-in-Charge Ajay Kumar Singh and the investigating officer, the Gopiballavpur Police promptly located the young woman upon receiving the intelligence. She was brought safely to the police station and produced before the Jhargram Court on Wednesday. Following all legal procedures, she was handed over to her family.

The reunion after three years filled the family and local community with immense relief and gratitude towards the police force.
