6th Cow Service Day Celebrated with Enthusiasm at Balaji Temple Gaushala, In Kharagpur

Kharagpur : Under the aegis of the social organization ‘The Adhyay Foundation,’ the 6th Cow Service Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at the Balaji Temple Gaushala in the Old Settlement area of Kharagpur city. The event saw active participation from the Adhyay Foundation’s volunteers as well as several prominent social workers from the city.
During the celebration, attendees honored the ‘Gau Mata’ (Mother Cow) by feeding her green fodder, jaggery, fruits, and other nutritious food items. The Gaushala premises were thoroughly cleaned, and special care was given to cows that were ill. The program featured discussions on the cultural and spiritual significance of cows in Indian traditions.

Members of The Adhyay Foundation emphasized that serving cows goes beyond religious duties; it also plays an important role in environmental conservation and boosting the rural economy. With heartfelt emotion, all participants took a pledge to protect and nurture the cows.
The event concluded on a high note with spirited chants of “May the Mother Cow be protected and nurtured!” Organizers announced their commitment to observe (Cow Service Day) annually and continue their efforts towards developing Gaushalas, protecting stray and destitute cows, and raising public awareness on this issue.
The program was marked by commendable participation from local citizens, reflecting strong community support for the cause.
