Pankaj Tripathi’s Brother Injured in Alleged Axe Attack Over Land Dispute in Bihar

The brother of acclaimed Bollywood actor Pankaj Tripathi was seriously injured after an alleged axe attack stemming from a land dispute in Bihar’s Gopalganj district, police said on Monday. The incident has drawn widespread attention due to its connection with the actor’s family.
According to officials, the attack took place in Belsand village under the Madhopur police station area. The victim, identified as Vijaynath Tiwari, reportedly became involved in an altercation with a neighbour over a long-running property dispute. During the confrontation, he was allegedly attacked with an axe, sustaining severe injuries.
Family members and local residents immediately rushed Tiwari to a nearby hospital for treatment. Due to the seriousness of his condition, doctors referred him to a medical facility in Patna for specialized care. Authorities said he remains under medical supervision, and his condition is currently reported to be stable.
Police launched an investigation soon after receiving information about the incident. The accused, identified as Rajesh Sah, was arrested shortly after the attack. Investigators also recovered the alleged weapon used in the assault and collected other evidence from the scene.
