Kolkata to Host Landmark ‘Know Your Territorial Army’ Seminar on August 27–28

Kolkata, August 17, 2026: The Territorial Army will organise a two-day public outreach seminar, ‘Know Your Territorial Army’, at Dhono Dhanyo Auditorium, New Alipore, Kolkata, on August 27–28. The initiative aims to strengthen engagement between the Territorial Army and citizens, particularly students, academia, industry, startups and the technology ecosystem.

The seminar will highlight the unique role of citizen-soldiers who serve the nation while pursuing professional careers. Key themes will include Army–industry partnerships, next-generation technologies, national security, environmental conservation and youth outreach.

The programme will feature panel discussions, exhibitions, immersive sessions, cultural activities and technology showcases. Discussions will also explore ecological conservation, innovation, recruitment and how civilian expertise can contribute to military capabilities.

The event is open to citizens, subject to venue capacity and security requirements.
