Annual Day Became a Celebration of Young Dreams, Talent and Togetherness

South City International School presented a vibrant showcase of youthful expression, imagination and achievement through a curated line-up of music, theatre, dance and band performances.

Kolkata, August 22, 2026: South City International School hosted its Annual Day Celebration 2026-27 at the South City International School Auditorium, Kolkata, bringing together students, educators and distinguished guests for an evening of music, theatre, dance and band performances inspired by the theme “Beyond Time”, along with an award ceremony recognising outstanding student achievements.

The specially curated presentation took the audience on a spectacular journey “Beyond Time”, exploring different eras, emotions and forms of artistic expression. Through a vibrant blend of music, theatre, dance and band performances, 637 students came together to present the entire programme live, showcasing their creativity, imagination, versatility and confidence. The programme provided the young performers with an opportunity to collaborate, explore their individual strengths and bring their artistic abilities to life on stage.

The celebration was graced by Koneenica Banerjee, acclaimed actress; Sudarshan Chakraborty, renowned dancer; Nandita Pal Choudhuri, cultural entrepreneur, consultant and international curator specialising in Indian folk arts and traditions; Prof. Chiranjib Bhattacharjee, Vice Chancellor, Jadavpur University, Kolkata along with Vishal Kumar Bhandari, Principal, South City International School.

Speaking on the occasion, Vishal Kumar Bhandari, Principal, South City International School, said, “Our Annual Day was a celebration of the remarkable creativity, confidence and individuality of our students. Through the theme ‘Beyond Time’, we wanted to take our audience on a journey that transcended eras while bringing together different forms of artistic expression. The event gave our students an opportunity to discover their potential, work collaboratively and express themselves with confidence. Watching their dedication and talent come alive on stage was truly rewarding, and the celebration was a memorable experience for the entire school community.”
