According to the MEA, Modi’s trip to Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan will start on August 29. Before heading to Kyrgyzstan to attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) meeting in Bishkek from August 31 to September 1, he will spend August 29–30 in Uzbekistan.

S Jaishankar, India’s minister of external affairs, recently had a two-day meeting with Putin in Russia. Putin expressed his wish at the time that he and Prime Minister Modi will meet again outside of the SCO summit. Additionally, he had requested that the EAM send Modi his best wishes.

The PM will meet with President Mirziyoyev at the delegation level during his next visit to Uzbekistan with the goal of deepening the strategic alliance between India and Uzbekistan.
