India’s largest drugmaker, Sun Pharmaceutical Industries, has signed an agreement with the US government to make medicines more affordable for American patients. Under the deal, the Mumbai-based pharmaceutical major will offer “Most Favoured Nation” pricing to state Medicaid programmes across the United States.
The agreement is aimed at reducing the cost of prescription medicines for eligible beneficiaries and improving access to essential treatments.
