Surgeon Vice Admiral Dilip Raghavan Assumes Charge as DG Hospital Services

New Delhi: Surgeon Vice Admiral Dilip Raghavan, VSM, assumed charge as Director General Hospital Services (Armed Forces) on September 1, 2026. An alumnus of Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC), Pune, he completed his MBBS in 1989 and was commissioned into the Indian Navy on December 26, 1989.During his distinguished career, he served as Command Medical Officer, Southern and Eastern Naval Commands, and as Commanding Officer of INHS Asvini, Mumbai. During his tenure at INHS Asvini, the hospital received the Raksha Mantri Trophy for Best Command Hospital.In recognition of his distinguished service, he was awarded the Vishisht Seva Medal (VSM) on Republic Day 2026. His appointment marks another significant responsibility in his long medical and naval career.
