After Becoming Trapped In An Elevator, A Couple Is Saved By The Fire Department But Misses Their Reception

The wedding reception for Panav and Victoria Jha didn’t precisely go as planned because they got stuck in an elevator. The unthinkable happened while the newlyweds were making their way to the 16th story of the Grand Bohemian Hotel in Charlotte for their after-party on February 18 night, according to abc7 news. Together with the bride and groom, four additional visitors, including Victoria’s sister, were stranded.

The rescue team made an effort to repair the hoist. Firefighters were ultimately requested to the scene, though. They realized right away that this wasn’t the usual elevator emergency call they were used to.

A picture of the newlyweds and the firefighters was shared on Facebook along with this event by the Charlotte Fire Department.
