After Seeing Suvendu Adhikari, Mamata Banerjee Said, “Person I Treated As My Brother.”

Mamata Banerjee, the chief minister of West Bengal, met with opposition leader Suvendu Adhikari on 25 November for the first time since her former assistant switched from the Trinamool Congress to the BJP in advance of the 2021 state assembly election.

According to reports, Banerjee invited Adhikari to her state legislature chamber. Adhikari was accompanied by MLAs Agnimitra Paul, Ashok Kumar Lahiri, and Manoj Tigga.

Prior to the opening of the Platinum Jubilee Memorial Building on the Assembly Campus on 25 November, the two leaders met.

Banerjee said, “The person I treated as my younger brother is today saying the government in Bengal has become ‘of the party, by the party, and for the party,’ and what if I say the Center has become a government of the agency, by the agency, and for the agency? “, after the meeting.

Due to unsatisfactory seating arrangements, Adhikari skipped CV Ananda Bose’s swearing-in ceremony on 23 November and criticized Banerjee. The Bengal BJP leader made it clear in a series of tweets before the swearing-in that he wouldn’t go because he would have to sit next to MLAs Krishna Kalyani and Biswajit Das, who was elected on BJP ballots but later switched to the TMC.

She continued by saying that the Left’s party office was moved into the department of education during its rule.
