The annual awards ceremony of Julien Day School – ‘Julien Educational Trust Awards Ceremony 2023’ took place with a lot of glitz and glamour at a full house, EZCC auditorium, Saltlake , on the 29th of April .
The photographer of the evening was Ishan Mondal, a prospective student of Class -9 , JDS Kalyani.
Among the many distinguished guests, who had gathered under one roof, by the invitation of Mr. Terence John(Principal- JDS Kalyani and Director of Education and Development JDS) we had Actor/Activist/Teacher of Method Acting Mr. Bobby Chakraborty as one of the chief guest who enthralled the audience with his lovely song and also gave away prizes to worthy students from all 4 branches of Kolkata, Kalyani, Ganganagar and Howrah,who had excelled in their field of studies, sports, creativity and other Co-curriculor activities.
Mr. Chakraborty was felicitated by Mr. Bobby Baxter( Principal- JDS Ganganagar)
Awards were given to deserving teachers too, for their invaluable services.
The 94 year old wonder woman, respected Mrs. S. E. Broughton(Managing Trustee) was also present with all her energy and enthusiasm to award the deserving students.
The scintillating evening was co-hosted by Mr. Richard Green and Mr. J. G. Broughton (Chairman of Julien Day Group).
The award ceremony had magnificent and colourful dance performances from the students on live music ,performed by the eclectic Julien Day School Band, ‘Julienite’ ,comprising of teachers and students.
There was also the prestigious ‘Mr. & Ms. Julienite’ contest, judged by Mr. Bobby Chakraborty and others, which was won by Nathan Paul from JDS-Kolkata and Shrishti Roy from JDS – Ganganagar, respectively.
The overall winner of the year was Julien Day School – Kalyani .
