Aroop Biswas encouraged India’s and Kolkata’s Iconic Football Clubs Mohun Bagan and East Bengal’
West Bengal Minister for Power, Housing, Sports and Youth Affairs encouraged India’s and Kolkata’s Iconic Football Clubs Mohun Bagan and East Bengal’ Honourable Sri Aroop Biswas holds crucial portfolios of Power, Housing, Sports and Youth Affairs,(in the Government of West Bengal),entrusted to him by Chief Minister Honourable Ms Mamata Banerjee.
Sri Biswas is proactive in all his ministries and as West Bengal’s Sports Minister has always been encouraging Sportspersons and clubs. To enhance Sports activities in the city and state. The Honourable Sports Minister visited India’s two iconic sports clubs, Mohun Bagan and East Bengal,(on 21st and 18th of February 2023) and was present at the ISL Berby clash between these two clubs on the 25th of February.(Mohun Bagan won two-Nil in this Super Clash).
Shri Aroop Biswas said,”-Today (25th February)I awarded the player of the match award to Mohan Bagan’s Slavko Damjanović in the East Bengal-Mohan Bagan derby match of ISL at Vivekananda Yuva Bharti Krirangan, Salt Lake.” On Feb 21st february he mentioned ”Today I inaugurated the ‘ Mohun Bagan Sports Library’ at Mohun Bagan Club. Eminent Author Sri Shirshendu Mukhopadhyay was also present there with Mohun Bagan family.” Earlier on Feb 18 Honourable AroopBabu said said ”Today I Inaugurated India’s the first ‘Sports Library’ at East Bengal Club. Renowned author Ms Tilottama Majumder was also present there.”
