BOBBY CHAKRABORTY AWAKENS FUTURE ENGINEERS OF HERITAGE INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY, THROUGH AAC 406
‘Social responsibility’ is a term that is slowly and surely becoming obsolete in this time and age of materialism, instant gratification, corruption and herd mentality. We as humanbeings are forgetting that we need to give back to this society too, from which we are only taking.
Actor/activist/teacher of method acting Bobby Chakraborty’s globally acclaimed, award winning,free of cost Anti Addiction Campaign (AAC) for the youth, titled ‘I AM THE KING OF MY MIND’, acts as a perfect example and wake up call to all those who are ‘socially irresponsible’ and nesting in their own comfortable cocoon, unperturbed by the destruction that’s happening all around.
The 406th session of Bobby’s awareness program happened at Heritage Institute of Technology,on 28th August, which was his 9th session here at the Heritage Group of Institution too.
Bobby wholeheartedly appreciated the CEO Mr. Pradip Agarwal,a perfect gentlemen,who has been a strong force, responsible in spreading this awareness over the years, in his colleges and school, as well as other institutions too.
Bobby thanked the perfect Coordinator of the event Mr. Arvind Srivastava, who, like Mr. Agarwal , has been a pillar of strength,for many years, to spread this awareness among each and every student in his institution.
This electrifying session, was also a part of the Orientation Program ‘Compass 2023’, which had a packed auditorium comprising the students of the new BTech and Mtech Batches.
The official photographer of the adda was soldier Arya Ghosh, an extremely well mannered, obedient and hardworking soldier from 3rd Year of the Electrical Engineering stream, who also happened to be Bobby’s ex-student at the acting/modelling school SMPAi.
After his felicitation by the Principal Prof(Dr.) Basab Chaudhuri and Prof(Dr.) Mousiki Kar, Bobby took stage to awaken his ‘soldiers’, the future engineers from HIT , to fight with him against all sorts of addiction (smoking, alcoholism,substance abuse,smart phone, pornography) and harmful social trends(abusive language, ragging, bullying, losing self respect to garner ‘likes’, ‘views’, ‘followers’ online, online gambling through video games etc.)which are causing a serious damage to the physical and mental health of the youth, who are the future of the society.
The titles of ‘The 1st Soldier’ and ‘The Trendsetter’ went to Titas and Soham respectively
The engaging and thought provoking adda saw a terrific interaction from the soldiers with their ‘Bobbydada’, both during and after the session, among which, soldier Pradyumna stood out with his points of inspiring discussion .
The surprise contest at the end saw Soham, Suraj and Daipayan as the winners, who, along with, Arya, were given special HCF t-shirts, other prizes and Community Service Certificates by their beloved Bobbydada.
The powerful adda ended with the teachers and students, shouting out the mantra of their lives, as a war cry, ‘ I am the king of my mind’ with their fists clenched and hands raised in unison.
