BOBBY CHAKRABORTY’S 397TH ANTI ADDICTION CAMPAIGN, AT ST. THOMAS’ DAY SCHOOL, NEW MARKET, IN ASSOCIATION WITH THE EXCISE DEPARTMENT, GOVT. OF WEST BENGAL
It was June 26th, the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking. Every year, on this occasion,Mrs.Sudeshna Chakraborty, The Additional Commissioner of Revenue & Collector of Excise, Kolkata (South) has been associating with the award winning,global,free of cost Anti Addiction Campaign of Mr. Bobby Chakraborty, who is an actor/activist and Teacher of Method Acting. Every year she and her efficient team, with Mr.Subhajit Mutsudhy at the helm, get in touch with schools and colleges all around Bengal to spread this awareness program of Bobbydada.
This year she and her team organized this much needed awareness campaign for the youth,against addiction and harmful social trends at St. Thomas’Day School, New Market, with the able support of the Principal, Mr. Aniket Deb Roy. This was the 397th session of Bobbydada.
The event was attended by the senior students who were present in the school auditorium. After a powerful welcome speech by Sudeshna ma’am, Bobbydada took control over the proceedings.
The official photographer of this powerful session was Shahidullah Mollah, an extremely well mannered and responsible student of Class XI.
This session was termed as ‘miraculous’ by Bobbydada because it saw rock solid promises, strong confessions which are difficult to make in public, infront of friends and teachers, tears of joy and emotional outburst from his soldiers of STDS. Bobbydada was happy and satisfied that he was hugely successful in instilling the awareness and made them realize their mistakes which were totally destroying their body and mind.
The ceremonial titles of ‘1st soldier’ went to Shifa Rahman and the ‘trendsetter’ went to Wasifuddin.
The surprise contest at the end had Amanda, Junaid and Furqan as the winners, who along with Shahidullah were given special prizes and community service certificates by Bobbydada.
What we unanimously heard from the students after the session was “Nothing like this has ever happened in our school before. We have never come across anyone like Bobbydada, who is so positive and affectionate too. We thank him from the bottom of our hearts to teach us the HCF(health,career,family) formula, which will guide us to the right path of our lives. We want him back again “.
The sparkling session ended with everyone present in the auditorium, shouting out the Mantra of a soldier’s life ‘I AM THE KING OF MY MIND’ together with Bobbydada and a powerful concluding speech by Sudeshna ma’am.
