BOBBY CHAKRABORTY’S SOLDIERS FROM ADAMAS INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL TAKE A VOW TO FIGHT AGAINST THE DARK FORCES
The morning of August 8th saw the packed auditorium of Adamas International School, brimming with excitement, where the students of 10th to 12th grade, assembled to experience, Actor/Activist/Teacher of Method Acting, Bobby Chakraborty’s 403rd Anti Addiction Campaign which was his 2nd session in this school.
There was perfect synchronization from all the respected teachers and coordinators, viz. Anindita Sarkar, Anindita Ghosh, Nandini Dasgupta and others, led by The Principal Anusuya Paul towards organising everything perfectly for a fruitful session of Bobby’s globally acclaimed, free of cost awareness program for the youth, against addiction of all sorts and harmful social trends which are destroying millions of young lives out there.
The official photographer of the session was Spandan Parbat, assisted by Rafael Das, who eventually turned out to be ‘The Trendsetter’ too.
The title of the 1st soldier went to Tanisha Verma, who took a vow to respect the title all her life.
The surprise contest at the end had Archita Balasia, Hrisiraj Sengupta and Vyom Jhunjhunwala as the winners, who along with Spandan, received special soldier’s t-shirts, prizes and Community Service Certificates from their beloved ‘BobbyDada’.
Bobby gave a special prize to Rafael Das too,who is a brilliant artist, as a return gift, for the beautiful sketch he had gifted to his ‘Bobbydada’.
We had a word with Bobby at the end of the session and asked him about his feelings about AAC 403 and here’s what he said,
“ Firstly thank you so much for covering my awareness program with so much of importance.
Secondly, being an International Academic Advisory Board Member of Adamas University, it is an honour and my utmost priority to spread my awareness program among each and every young mind, in every institution under the Rice-Adamas Group. Here I would specially like to thank The Founder Chairman of Rice-Adamas Group and Founder Chancellor of Adamas University Dr.(Prof.) Samit Ray for all his support towards my mission.
Thirdly, coming back to AAC 403, I have always felt that it is my duty to guide the youth towards the correct path of their lives. Youth ,who are the future of our society, are being destroyed physically and mentally by the dark forces of the society through substance abuse and the online evils via the smart phone. I have seen too much of this evil of addiction in my family too.
Hence I feel we all must join hands to save them. But strangely those willing hands of power are few! Either they are in a denial mode or are socially irresponsible towards these burning issues. This has not been the case with the administration of Adamas Group though. They, unlike many in their capacity, found it of utmost importance, for me to address these social evils and try to eradicate them.
Lastly this session was a captivating one. I am sure I won many strong soldiers in my army through AAC 403 because there has been a bumper feedback from my soldiers and their parents too, post session. I am still to answer hundreds of their mails and messages.
The Principal Anusuya Ma’am expressed a surprise and asked me how I could manage to captivate and gain the attention of nearly 500 teenagers for over 2 hours! Well I feel, if your intentions are pure and if you have true love with concern for the troubled and distracted teens, it isn’t difficult to win their love and attention. It isn’t difficult then, to make them believe in the basic formula , HCF(Health-Career-Family) and mantra of life which is , ‘I AM THE KING OF MY MIND’.
