Voting Enthusiasm Unabated Despite Scorching Heat

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has expressed strong confidence in the re-election of the Modi government with a significant majority in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Speaking to reporters after casting his vote in the final phase of the elections on Saturday morning, CM Yogi emphasized the robust support for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a developed (Viksit) and self-reliant (Aatmanirbhar) India.

Voters Across Eastern Uttar Pradesh Cast Their Ballots

The final phase of the Lok Sabha elections is underway across 57 seats in eight states, including 13 seats in Eastern Uttar Pradesh. Constituencies such as Maharajganj, Gorakhpur, Deoria, Kushinagar, Bansgaon, Salempur, Ballia, Ghosi, Robertsganj, Ghazipur, Varanasi, Chandauli, and Mirzapur are seeing voters actively participate in the democratic process.

CM Yogi highlighted the extensive campaigns by various political parties over the past two and a half months, presenting their achievements and aspirations to the public. He pointed out that voters have conducted a comparative analysis of the previous governments’ performances against the achievements of the Modi government over the past decade.

Anticipating a Resounding Victory

Reflecting on the nationwide support for the BJP, CM Yogi expressed optimism that the election results on June 4 will favor those who have worked towards making India self-reliant and developed. He credited the Modi government with preserving heritage, fostering development, showing compassion for the poor, and ensuring a bright future for the youth.

Yogi also noted the transformation witnessed in India over the past ten years and particularly in Uttar Pradesh over the last seven years under the dual leadership of PM Modi and himself. He lauded the comprehensive development work carried out for various societal sections, including youth, farmers, businessmen, and women.

Gratitude for Voter Enthusiasm

Expressing heartfelt gratitude to the voters, CM Yogi commended their unwavering enthusiasm despite the extreme heat, with temperatures soaring around 50 degrees Celsius. He encouraged voters to rise above caste and religion and support the vision of a developed and self-reliant India.

Commitment to Women’s Empowerment

CM Yogi underscored the government’s commitment to women’s safety, respect, and self-reliance under PM Modi’s leadership. Initiatives like the Shakti Vandana Act, Beti Bachao – Beti Padhao, and Matru Vandana Yojana have significantly contributed to women’s empowerment, providing them with a new direction and opportunities.

A Call to Young Voters

Addressing young voters, CM Yogi urged them to actively participate in the nation’s advancement, contributing to the development of a new India equipped with excellent infrastructure and global respect. He cautioned them against being misled by opposition parties and individuals, emphasizing the importance of voting with the goal of achieving a self-reliant and developed India.

Defense of PM Modi’s Spiritual-Nationalist Pursuits

Responding to criticisms from opposition leaders about PM Modi’s spiritual-nationalist pursuits, CM Yogi defended the Prime Minister’s dedication to serving Mother India tirelessly. He argued that those who engage in corruption and misconduct cannot comprehend the significance of spiritual devotion, which requires a mindset aligned with India’s eternal values and ideals.

Criticism of Opposition and Election Integrity

CM Yogi also addressed the controversy surrounding the protection of EVMs before the vote count, dismissing allegations from the Samajwadi Party (SP). He praised the Election Commission for conducting the election process with impartiality, transparency, and honesty, criticizing the SP for undermining democratic principles and disrespecting the Constitution.

Early Morning Voting and Media Interaction

Adhering to the mantra “Pehle Matdaan, Fir Jalpaan” (Vote first, then eat), CM Yogi cast his vote early in the morning at booth number 249 of Gorakhnath Primary School (Girls) on Saturday. Following his vote, he interacted with the media before proceeding to the Gorakhnath Temple, setting an example of civic duty and engagement.

As the nation awaits the results on June 4, the confidence expressed by CM Yogi reflects the BJP’s anticipation of a strong mandate to continue their vision for a developed and self-reliant India.
